Budget Information

The process for developing the Board of Education budget begins in the fall with data collection and analysis conducted district-wide. In early January, the Superintendent presents the budget to the Seymour Board of Education for deliberation. The budget is adopted in late January and submitted to the town in early February. During March the First Selectman presents the budget to the Board of Finance. During the month of April, the town of Seymour conducts a Public Hearing on the budgets, and holds the Annual Town Meeting. In early May, Seymour conducts a Town Referendum for the budget.
