Seymour Public Schools, located in New Haven, Connecticut, seeks an individual with visionary leadership and strong administrative skills to lead a district of over 2,100 students.  The salary will be in the range of $185,000 to $195,000 plus includes an excellent comprehensive benefits package.  The final salary for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experience, qualifications and meeting Board criteria.

Request for Proposals

Superintendent Search Services

The Seymour Board of Education is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide consulting search and recruitment services for a Superintendent of Seymour Public Schools.

A Request for Proposals (RFP) can be obtained by calling the Seymour Board of Education offices at (203) 888-4564 or emailing a request to Sherry Holmes at sholmes@seymourschools.org .  The RFP has also been posted on the Seymour Public Schools’ website at www.seymourschools.org/SuperintendentSearch. .

Proposals must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 5, 2021. (EXTENDED)

Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled Proposal for Superintendent Search and Recruitment Services.  Proposals must include ten (10) copies of all materials submitted.  Oral, telephonic, emailed and faxed submissions will not be accepted or considered.

 The Seymour Board of Education reserves the right to: (1) waive technical defects in any proposal, (2) reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, and/or (3) make such awards in whole or in part, if it is in the best interest of the Board, whether or not it is the lowest dollar-cost proposal.  The Seymour Board of Education further reserves the right to re-advertise and invite new proposals and/or discuss and modify proposals based upon negotiations with one or more proposer(s) as the Seymour Board of Education, in its sole discretion, deems to be in its best interest.
