We were so pleased to welcome the return of Phillip Hoole to Seymour High School on September 5th. Phil attended SHS during the 1971 -1972 school year as an American Field Service Exchange Student from South Africa. Phil and his wife Elsa toured the High School with Phil’s Class of 1972 classmates Harvey Catlin, Jim Anderson and Fred Stanek. He was welcomed by Dr. Compton in Central Office.
Phil, who is an architect, was excited to visit his American high school after 53 years. He was quite impressed with the building enhancements and the expansion of the curriculum since 1972. Phil, Harvey, Jim and Fred reminisced about their senior year at SHS together.
We wish Phil and Elsa our best and hope they visit us again soon.
