Bungay Elementary School has been educating students since 1954, and we are very proud of our long history of excellence. We currently have over seventy dedicated, caring teachers and support staff. Our staff works together to create an energetic, academic environment for more than 450 students in grades K through grade five.

 

Bungay Elementary School is a great place to learn and grow. We are all committed to educating all students to their highest level of academic potential and to teach them the skills and knowledge to become capable, creative, and responsible citizens through rich learning experiences supported by strong community collaboration and decision-making based on the best interest of all students.

 

“It is all about student learning.!” The strength and success of Bungay Elementary School is in its dedication and commitment to working together. Our professional staff, our committed PTA, our caring and devoted Senior Mentor program and our involved parents can all be proud of their fine efforts and the many accomplishments of our students.

 

Our teachers spend a great deal of time getting to know each child to better meet their academic and social needs. Evidence of student work is displayed throughout the building, in the hallways and in the classrooms. We have a highly qualified teaching staff along with specialists that supports children in the areas of reading and mathematics intervention, technology, library media, music, art, physical education, special education, speech and language and counseling.

 

It’s a parent's enthusiasm, support and involvement that inspires children to do their best; and a teacher’s ability to teach what they need to learn. Volunteers can be seen throughout our building on any given day. Parents are actively involved and can be seen volunteering in the classrooms, in the library, art room, and at our PTA sponsored events. Together we achieve wonderful things.

 

Bungay Elementary School is a warm and nurturing place. The children are enthusiastic and love to learn. They enjoy sharing stories about themselves, what they have done, what they have read, and about their dreams. Bungay School is a place that puts a smile on my face each and every day.
